From Transit Cop to Internal Affairs
August 28 @ 7:00 pm
Award winning author Robert L. Bryan served twenty years with the New York City Police Department, retiring at the rank of captain. C-Case: An Unlikely Journey from Transit Cop to Internal Affairs Bureau Squad Commander is a potent, first-hand account of his two years as a squad commander in IAB. The NYPD is a microcosm of the City of New York. Just as there are drug dealers, rapists, and fraud artists in society, these type criminals also exist in an agency as large as the NYPD. This is the story of Bryan’s corruption fighting role that was thrust upon him without warning. It is also a classic “fish out of water” story, as Bryan, with little investigative experience, must deftly walk a tightrope between managing his squad of very experienced investigators while learning all the ins and outs of the Internal Affairs Bureau. Robert L. Bryan is a law enforcement / security professional with over 35 years’ experience in the New York City Police Department, The United States Border Patrol, The United States Coast Guard, and the New York City Transit Authority. He holds a Master’s degree in security management and is an adjunct professor at a NYC college.
